God breathed

For many the Bible is just a book of stories. Just a book of many authors telling stories some true some myths handed down. But oh it’s so much more than that!! The true author of the Bible is God himself!! Yes he used the pen and even the personality of many different men to write it uniquely as only God could but make no mistake God gave the words!! Gods word to us is true, reliable, instructive, helpful and more. 2 Timothy 3: 16 tells us it is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. A mentor of mine once said if you want to hear God speak to you read the Bible out loud! It is his word to us!! What a gift. It should be our most valued treasure here on earth. It tells us of the loving nature of God. Of how he sent his Son Jesus to save us which is why we celebrate Christmas. It tells us who we are. It even tells us who we could be with him and what our future holds. To dismiss it as just of bunch of fictional stories is a tragedy!! No matter how many times you read it you never stop learning new things! It never gets old and brings you blessing and help in a troubled world! If you haven’t spent time in the Bible I highly recommend you start. It will change your life!! I know it has mine!! Thank you Lord for your word to us!!
