It amazes me to watch how quickly church folks come to the aid of their brothers and sisters in Christ when troubles come. Whether it be cooking meals for them or writing encouraging notes and letters or taking them places or praying for them , it is a rapid response to crisis that is second to known. Why and how do you suppose this is? One reason is that we have a Spirit that is given to us when we first believe in Jesus. He lives in us and through us. He is God. I can’t explain how this works in human words adequately but the idea is that God , being love, binds us all together with himself through his own Spirit and gives us a supernatural love for one another. When one of us is joyful, all of us are joyful. Likewise when one of us has pain, we all have pain. We can hardly sit and do nothing when we know that one of our own is in trouble!! Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use this freedom to indulge in the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. Helping each other is how we express Gods love for each other! It is his design for us as a community of believers. Family. This family is one that lasts!! Forever! Loved ones, when you have knowledge of those in the family of God who are experiencing hardship, don’t be idle! Get on your knees and pray for them. Spring into action and do what God calls on your heart to do! And when you do, don’t do it for your own recognition but to bring glory to God who gave us this love and freedom!! Thank you Lord for your Spirit that you have given us in abundance! Thank you for the comfort he brings to all of us who believe and for binding us together in love!!
Peace, joy, and love to each of you today!!
