A little push

I can’t believe that anyone would want to go through life and not be an encouragement to at least one person. We all need someone to push us, and tell us to keep going. God didn’t put us here to be individuals. He put us here to be a community. A community of people who trust and believe in him. Living life for Jesus is not easy. It’s not popular or mainstream. It goes against the culture. So living out our faith gets tough. We need to be helped and encouraged along the way and we need to be that encourager. 2 Thessalonians 2 :11-12 Paul says to the folks there: For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God who calls you into his kingdom and glory.
Paul set us an example. He was always being tortured or imprisoned and yet he wrote letters to all his church folks to keep them going and growing in their faith. It was a great concern to him that they keep growing in their faith and not become complacent. Do we love each other that much?? I know I need help to keep going. We all do. If we encourage each other and pray for each other then imagine how much we could grow!! Thank you Lord for your word and the examples we find in it!!
