Many hands

Serving the Lord doesn’t just happen in church. In fact I would say for most of us, the majority of it doesn’t happen in church. But a church does take a lot of work to keep going and it takes many hands to do it. Sadly, in many churches, not all, but many, the majority of the work is done by a minority of the people. Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 3:6-15 about idleness. Using himself as an example he talked about how he worked night and day to provide for himself so he wouldn’t be a burden to the church there. He warns against idleness. There are those who would never help set up tables and chairs for a church dinner but would be first in line to eat and first to disappear when it’s time to clean up. (Just an example. No fingers pointing here) We must set an example for those who are idle by doing our part both in church but also in life. I am blessed to serve in a church where many hands are put to task and the work is not a burden because many hands make much work light!! Thank Lord for giving us the ability to work. Help us to serve you with all the energy and strength you provide!!
Have a wonderful day!!
