Judge not

Sometimes people go through stuff. Hard stuff. It’s not necessarily their fault. Stuffs just happens. And when it happens they have to deal with it and everyone deals with things differently. Often when going through stuff it can be life changing. Painful. It’s can even make doing everyday tasks nearly impossible. I know because I’ve been through some stuff. Likely I will again. What really hurts is while your going through stuff, the people you think will understand or give you time to work through it, are often the ones that can’t handle the change in you during the rough thing that’s happened to you. And it will change you!! Your routine of life gets all screwed up. Before I go getting all tough on the ones who turn on those who are struggling, let me just say to my shame, I’ve been that person. I admit that I hate it when someone I love has their life all jacked up. It affects me too. It should if I truly love them. But how I handle that is somewhat of a biblical matter. So often we judge people in our minds thinking we could do so much better if this thing or that would happen to us! What pride we have! I’m not saying that as a good pride! We have such a limited view of what goes on in another persons life. Our lives are so intricate and unique that no one person is going to handle things the same. So how can we say anything at all or even think it when only God himself has the ability to see. Matthew 7:1-2 Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use ,it will be measured to you! Ouch!! Listen, loving people is an action. It requires work. You’ve got to put your mind to it. When your friends are having hard times, cut them some slack. Pray for them. Encourage them. Leave the judging to God. Only he knows what’s happening in their heart.
Dear Father in heaven, help us to be better friends when hard times come. Help us to look into our own hearts and not everyone else’s!!
Be a friend!! Love y’all
