Questions

We live in a world today that questions everything. Some question their gender. Some Their sexuality. Others question why they are even here. Why they exist. Many wonder about their purpose in life. Absolute truth is something that a vast majority of people don’t believe in. Even the existence of God is questioned. I can understand that if God didn’t exist, then truth wouldn’t exist. And if there is no truth then everything in life could be called into question. Our very existence would have no meaning. How sad that would be!! In John 14:6 Jesus was talking to his disciple Thomas, who doubted and questioned a lot of things. He said: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
So how do we come to a knowledge of truth and of Jesus? One must trust and believe by faith first of all. But then Jesus explains to us in John 14:15-16 If you love me keep my commands. And I will ask the Father and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- the Spirit of truth. You see, truth does exist, but our human minds need help understanding. God knows this so he gives us the Holy Spirit to help us come to understand. Once we do that then all of life begins to make sense. I know it is true because I’ve experienced it in my own life! Thank you God for answering so many of our questions!!
