Made white

When Jesus was on trial , Pilot dressed him in a scarlet robe. Scarlet was a royal color to the Romans second only to purple. Pilot did this to make fun of him calling him the king of the Jews. Little did he know that Jesus is King of all!! Later while Jesus was hanging in agony on the cross he wore our sins. An interesting fact is that the color scarlet also represents sin. Isaiah 1:18 come now, let us settle the matter , says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be as wool.
Jesus was wearing every sin, past, present and future, of everyone of us like a scarlet robe. He was covered in our shame so that we could be forgiven. Once forgiven, we then would be considered clean. White was the color that represented clean. So now , even though we still sin, although not habitually, we are as white as snow. Clean. Forgiven. If that doesn’t rock your world I don’t know what would!! Thank you Jesus for wearing our shame and sin so that we could be made clean!!
Have a blessed day!!
