He knows your name!

It’s hard for me to understand sometimes as I ponder about God, and heaven, how I could be known by heaven and those who dwell there. It seems to me like a far away place. And who am I that the God of the universe would know me? Well, I am human. I only know human things. I only know what is here on earth. But we do have Gods word. The Bible. We can know things about God from it because that was his way of showing us who he is and how much we mean to him. Today, once again, he has revealed himself to me in the most simple of ways through one verse I have probably read a hundred times. But today it was different. Luke 1:30 But the angel said to her, Mary; you have found favor with God.
Now that doesn’t seem like much does it? Let me explain why this means so much to me today. Gabriel, an angel, was sent by God to a girl named Mary to tell her she would give birth to Jesus. Mary, who loved God, probably had the same thoughts as me. Yet when God sent Gabriel to her, he knew where she was. He went right to her. Have you ever considered that God and his angels know right where you are? And notice what the angel said to her when she was afraid. Mary. He said Mary. Do you get what I’m saying here? He knew her by name. Heaven knows every one of us. Where we are. Who we are. We are not insignificant to those who dwell in heaven. Those of us who follow Christ, trusted in him for forgiveness, and live for him, are citizens of heaven!! I find so much peace in knowing that God and his angels know me by name!! They know you too!! Just that thought alone should give us reason to praise him today!! Thank you Father who dwells in heaven, for knowing us. For knowing where we are! For knowing us by name!!
