The war

Are you a follower of Jesus? If you are then what I am about to say is no surprise to you. It’s hard. Every day it’s hard. Many people start their journey as Christ followers with the thoughts that it would be easier. While it’s true that the burden of sin is lifted and we do have many benefits such as being able to pray at any time, or fellowship with others like us, there are also many challenges. You see, before coming to Christ and being saved, we are no threat to the enemy. But afterwards we are. And then come the attacks. Yes it’s a war. And your life is the battleground . The enemy is cunning and knows your every weakness and will use it to his advantage. And then there’s just that old sin nature that we are born with that we are constantly fighting against. For me that’s the worst! It’s every day. Non stop. But there’s hope. It’s that hope that gives us strength to fight on day after day. Here it is: Ephesians 1:13-14 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession to the praise of His glory.
The best part of this hard life that we have been called to, is that God himself is given to us. The Holy Spirit actually comes into our being in some way that only God can do and He walks every step with us in this battle, until that day when we go to be with Him in person!! My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, remember that we do not serve a far off distant God. He is with us and He is fighting our battles and the best part is: We win!! Thank you Jesus for being willing to shed your blood and give us the ultimate win to your glory!!
