His creation!!

When I was a boy, my Dad taught me how to use a wood lathe. He gave me some walnut wood and helped me glue it together into a square block and then we chucked it up into the lathe. He gave me some safety tips and some pointers on what each tool would do and then he left our little shop. So I began to cut on the piece and after a few hours I had created a beautiful(or at least to me) candle holder. I put some clear coat on it to protect it and put it in my room. Over time I lost track of it and in a panic I looked everywhere for it. It meant something to me because it was my creation and I hated being separated from it. That’s how God feels about us. He made us with His own hands and because of sin we became separated from Him. Romans 5:6-8 describes how much He loves us. It tells us that He died for us. The ungodly. We are far from God even from birth. But that wasn’t His plan. He wants to be with us, not separated. He had a plan to bring us near to Him and that plan involved Him coming here to die. He did just that even though we were enemies of Him. There has never been a more accurate picture of love than that act. His creation is so important to Him and He hates being separated from us. The good news is that if we believe that Jesus is God and that He died and rose again to life, and if we confess our sin to Him, then we will no longer be separated from God our creator.
I found my candleholder. My Mom needed one and so she got it from my room and used it. When I saw it being used for what it was created to do it made me very happy. God wants the same for us. He created us to do good works. After we are saved and reunited with Him, nothing would please Him more than to see us doing what He created us to do!! Thank you Jesus for loving us enough to give your life to save ours!!!
