Have you met Truth?

For centuries the question “what is truth” has been asked. If you asked that question today to several age groups and people from all backgrounds it would likely produce an abundance of answers. For many, truth is what they want it to be. If they have a desire to do something and it feels okay for them, then it must be okay. What if what they wanted to do was a terrible wrong to another person? If truth was whatever we wanted it to be then not one person could or should be offended. There wouldn’t be any reason for lawsuits because the truth of what’s right and wrong would be up to each person. So where does the idea of right and wrong come from? Where did truth originate? In John 14:6 Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life. Knowing that God is from before the beginning, and that He has never sinned, and knowing that all of mankind is imperfect and all have sinned (Roman’s 3:23), how then could we conclude that we know better what truth is than God himself? He is truth! All standards of right and wrong come from Him. To reject Christ is to reject truth. I know that this is going to ruffle some feathers, but it is concerning to see the world around us filled with violence, and hate and all kinds of vile acts being committed without any regard for what is right and wrong!! Our world needs absolute truth. Our world needs Jesus!
Father in Heaven, our world is full of bitterness and we have lost our desire for what is right so that we can do what feels good. Help us to come back to you. Help us to seek what is right in your eyes!

Have a blessed day!
