There is a myth out there floating around the universe that tricks people into believing that once you are saved by the love of Jesus, everything will just go perfect after that. Nope. Not true. In fact, I would say it even gets tougher in some ways, but also better in others. Let me explain. Before Christ comes into our lives we pretty much do what we want. The enemy, by that I mean satan and his crew, has no real interest in us because we are no threat to him at that point. However, once the Lord begins to work in our hearts we come into the enemies sights and the battle begins. The first round of attacks come to keep us from being saved. If then, we do and start following Jesus, we are at that point launched into a lifelong war with the dark forces who battle against God and His people. Ultimately we know that we win in the end and that is good! There is considerable harm that can come along the way though. That is why it is so important to pray for each other. Ephesians 6:18 says: And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
We need prayer. All of us. Not just the cliche type prayers that we talk about but don’t really do. I mean we need the deep contrition, on our knees in tears, specific and intentional, in the heat of battle type prayers like Jesus prayed that night in the garden when he sweat blood and poured out His heart to the Father! We need them for ourselves and we need to be praying that way for our forever family! I know that my life is relentless at times. Yes I have joy and sometimes even happiness but I also have pain, lack courage to share Christ, am weak against temptation and the list goes on! The last thing I need are your ”good thoughts”. I need Your prayers!! If your fully honest, you need mine too! Let’s do this for real!! God, we need you. We need help. All kinds of help. We even need to be reminded of how much we need to pray and be prayed for!!
I love you my friends! Have a beautiful day
