Is He slow?

Is Jesus slow in coming back? Have you pondered this? It’s quite easy to forget that He is returning when we consider it from our time perspective. It has been around 2000 years since He returned to Heaven to prepare a place for us. That’s a good bit of time from our vantage point but how does that time relate to God? In Psalm 90:2&4, we learn from the writer: Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. A Thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by or like a watch in the night.
God does not live by the restrictions of time. He has always been and will always be. That thought alone is mind blowing to me!! How can we not be in awe of Him? We also know that He never goes back on His word. Jesus is coming back! He is not slow in doing it. When He comes, it will be the perfect time. Let’s just remember together that He is coming as we patiently wait.
Thank you Lord for your promised return. Help us to eagerly anticipate your return and strive to live like you live in the waiting!
