It is so sad to me that there are people who think that this life on earth is all there is. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m hoping for better than this! Oh yes, I’ve had a good life here. That being said, I also know that there is better. Jesus was killed and put in a tomb and after being dead for three days he was brought back to life. Now that is amazing but there’s more. He was seen by over five hundred people who have been witness to this fact. He wasn’t the same though. His body changed. He was no longer bound by the physical world. He could appear in a room without opening a door. His body wasn’t resurrected back to his old one but a new one! So it will be for those who believe in him and his ability to resurrect us! With that knowledge and belief, we can have hope. If we have hope then we have purpose. 1 Corinthians 15:58 says: Therefore my brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord will not be in vain.
As you go about your daily grind, remember that this is not all there is. Trust in Jesus to forgive you, help you endure this life, but most importantly that he will raise you from death and not with a body that can die again but with a new heavenly body that is no longer bound by sin!! Now that’s a reason to get up in the morning!! Thank you Jesus for all you have done to give us a reason to hope and work and love!
Keep you eyes on Him! He is coming again!
