Emmanuel !!!

Do you feel like God is up in heaven watching all of us muddling through life and that he has no involvement in our day to day activities? Many do believe that. It’s easy to have that mindset especially when things in life come at you and the pain sets in. Maybe you’ve asked the question: Where’s God? Truth be told, I think we all have. We often feel that way but how we feel doesn’t dictate truth. Feelings are tricky. What is true though is God is with us. It’s in his name: Emmanuel means God with us. You may ask how is that possible? We often forget the complexity of God. After Jesus rose from the dead and went back to heaven he didn’t leave us alone. Acts 2:38: Peter replied, repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
There it is!! God has not left us alone. The Holy Spirit is no less God than the Father or Jesus his son! If we have trusted in Jesus then the Holy Spirit is actively involved in every aspect of our lives!! What a great comfort that is! Oh how he loves us!! Thank you for your Holy Spirit Father. Help us not to forget in times of trouble or triumph that you are always with us helping us even when it doesn’t “feel” like it!
