The big question

One of mankind’s biggest questions in life is this: Why are we here. Some of the greatest minds down through history have pondered this question. Some think they need to leave a mark on history. To create something or do something grand so as not to be forgotten. Many people have done remarkable things and only ended up more disappointed because they finished and now what do they do? Maybe we ask the wrong question. Instead of asking why we are here, maybe ask who are we here for. Are we here for ourselves? Our families and friends? If so, that too will leave you lost and disappointed. This life we have was a gift. God created us. Each of us has a unique design that was given to us for one purpose. To glorify the Giver. The Creator. Revelation4:11 says: You are worthy our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things and by your will they were created and have there being.
We idolize rock stars and actors and doctors and presidents and the list goes on but what have they done that God didn’t give them the talent to do? Without Him they wouldn’t exist! We wouldn’t exist! Everything we do is because he made it possible! Think about it. If this is true, then it could be said that our purpose is to fulfill what God created us to do. Give him glory! Glory is not for us. Being remembered is not for us. We are His and all we do is to point to Him! It’s that simple. He deserves it!! Only He deserves it!! When we start living our lives for God and not ourselves then peace comes and the question in our minds about why we are here no longer matters. It is then that we know we are truly loved!! Thank you a Father for creating us. All glory be to you!!
