Would you go to a doctor to get your car fixed? Would you go to a mechanic to get heart surgery? That wouldn’t work out very well would it? There was a man who invented a machine here in our area. It did a very specific job and to my knowledge it was the only one in existence at that time. He had a skilled group of workers and together they made these parts with the help of this invention. Now and then, like all mechanical things, it would malfunction. It would be up to the man who designed it to get it up and running again. Who could know it better than the one who created it? I believe this could apply in most cases. We know from God’s word that he created us. I believe he created us each with our very own features and traits that are unique to only ourselves. So when we break down, who better to go to than the Creator? So many people view God as a far off being that doesn’t care. How could he help? Hebrews 4:15-16 sheds a little light on this matter. It tells us: For we do not have a high priest (Jesus) who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way just as we are – yet he did not sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need!
We all have our struggles in this life. I know I do!! Jesus had temptation and hardship when he was here too! He knows! And he created us so who else could possibly be better than him to go to when we need help? Remember, it was Jesus who left his throne in heaven to come here in human form to suffer and die for us! That’s love in its purest form. Father in heaven, thank you for being our personal Lord. You are not a distant god who doesn’t care. On the contrary you love us more than anyone! Thank you!!
My friends, in this Christmas season, take some time to study Jesus and get to know him. He loves us! He deserves our time and worship!
