The trained eye

If you were a dentist, you would naturally notice people’s teeth. If you were a beautician you would notice hair and eyebrows and such. I’m in construction so for me it’s roofs and siding and flooring etc. We get a “trained eye” for things when we spend a lot of time doing certain things. I’ll give an example. When products are made they will do a run of so many pieces from one batch of material. When they change material they start a new run. Both runs are supposed to be the same but they won’t be. If I was putting down some kind of flooring for you but I had to use two runs of material and I put all of one run on one side of the room and then the other on the opposite side, you would see the contrast in color right away. But if I mixed up the runs as I came across the room you would never see the difference. It would just be one beautiful floor. Yes I’m taking the long way to a point today! People come in all shapes, sizes, color, religious backgrounds and we each tend to gravitate towards our own group to “fit in”. God being the master craftsman is building a body. One body out of many bodies. We call it the “body of Christ” because Jesus Christ is the one that binds us together. Now if God were to put all the white people in one place and all the black people in another and put the short people all over here and the tall ones over there and so on then it would really stand out! Instead, with His trained eye, He has put us together in various patterns in our local areas, for those not yet a part of the body to see. Together, all of us that are part of the “ body of Christ” make up one beautiful body of all colors, shapes and backgrounds. There is to be no discrimination in the body. We are joined together by one Spirit. You can be part of this one body no matter what color, shape, size, background. If you believe in Jesus as your Savior then you will be part of the grand masterpiece that God is putting together! In this body you will be loved and you will have a purpose!! All of us together will bring glory to the one with the trained eye! The Lord and Creator! Jesus!! Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice that broke down the walls of separation and joined us all together in love as your grand masterpiece!! Help us not to separate ourselves from one another but to remain as one for all the world to see!!
