Remembered in prayer

I’ve heard it said that in life, people come and people go. I guess in a way we could say that. People are born and people die. People move to town and they move away. People are friends and for whatever reason they kind of fade from our lives but you still see them around. In my mind, people come but they never really go. They may change location or the relationship might change, but they never really leave us. A piece of them is still with us. The apostle Paul, who wrote many of the New Testament books, which were letters to churches, often would open his books with a greeting and then would say something like this: I remember you in my prayers day and night and I thank God for you. He had been with them at one time but had to move on. Geographically he had to go, but his heart never left them. He still loved them and they loved him.

People come but they don’t go! They stay in our hearts and should stay in our prayers! Even those who die leave behind memories, wisdom, and we never forget them. Last night we got to visit with several dear friends that we hardly get to see anymore. Brothers and sisters in Christ. We worked for the Lord together, we studied together, we shared hurts together and also joys! Even when we are not together, I know that I am in their prayers and they can be sure they are in mine! They came, but they did not go!

Thank you Father for those you have brought into our lives! Help us to even in our absence from one another, to never stop remembering each other in our prayers and loving each other in our hearts!

Love you my friends!!
