For years I have struggled with thinking that because of my past, God cannot or will not use me for the work of his kingdom. When I review my life and all the sin, I get in this mindset that I’m just glad I can sit in church without me or anyone sitting near me getting struck down by lightning straight from Heaven. Do you ever feel like this? Good trick satan. Stand back dude because I’m getting ready to drop a truth bomb on that stronghold you have built in my mind and my friends minds. Friends, your not worthy. I’m not worthy. We don’t have to be. Jesus didn’t die and rise again for us to feel this way. Because he did, we are worthy. His desire is for us to be free. Free from satans lies. Free from sin. Listen to Paul the apostle of Christ who wrote most of the New Testament. 1Corinthians 15:9&10 For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am who I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than the rest of them-yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
Even Paul felt unworthy to serve God. He was unworthy, but the grace of God made him worthy and useful. Paul, because of all he had been forgiven, instead of sitting idle because of feelings, went to work. He knew the truth. The truth he was completely forgiven of any past sin, present sin and future sin. The chains were removed and he ignoring the lie planted in his head, he marched forward with Gods work and we all are benefiting today!! What could we do if we get off our duffs, ignore all the we are not good enough junk in our heads, and take hold of the truth that Jesus set us free? Let’s do that! Jesus thank you for your freedom that was bought at the price of your life. Help us not to waste a minute of the time we have because those who come behind us may benefit from the work we do by your grace!!
In Christ, you can. So do!! Love ya my friends!
