Have you ever thought about thanking God for the things he didn’t do? Sometimes we ask God for what we think will be the best for us and our friends and family, but the answer either doesn’t seem to come or he does something totally different than what we ask for. This is usually at first, very disappointing. It’s important to remember that our range of view compared to Gods range of view is very different. We are looking through a peephole and God has a giant telescope if that helps put it into perspective. He is not bound by time. The past, present and future of our lives are all in full view to God. So when we ask, we are often asking with the expectation of an answer to our immediate situation and honestly, we can’t really see what’s best because we can’t see what’s ahead. He does. He knows what lies ahead. He knows what’s best for us. More importantly he cares! If it matters to us then it matters to him! Why? Because he loves us! I can look back at some of my prayers and if he would have answered them the way I asked it would have been a disaster! So I thank God for what he didn’t do!!
Thank you Lord for doing what’s best. What’s truly best.
Have a good day!
Andy- I just appreciate your insight every day. I just keep thinking about your folks and how full of joy they are at the man you’ve become. Thanks so much.
